Need assistance with a family law case? Look no further than Chelsea Legal! We're ready to lend a helping hand.

A Legal Paraprofessional, (LP), is a newly created license where non-attorneys, who possess specific legal education and/or legal experience, are licensed to provide legal services in limited practice areas. LPs are affiliate members of the Arizona State Bar who are held to the same high ethical standards as attorneys.
LPs can provide some of the same legal services that attorneys provide, with restrictions, such as drafting legal documents, providing legal advice, negotiating on behalf of the client, and representing clients in Court.

All without the supervision of an attorney.

LPs are affiliate members of the Arizona State Bar, equipped with specialized education and experience to offer legal services in limited practice areas.
Family court is procedural, deadline-driven, and unforgiving. Entering without a defined strategy creates unnecessary risk.
Our firm does not default to retainers. We begin with structure.
Chelsea Legal operates on a deliberately capped caseload to protect the quality of analysis, drafting precision, and direct communication each client receives.
When capacity is reached, we do not expand it.
Most clients begin with focused, strategic services:
Intensive legal strategy sessions
Precision document drafting
Court preparation and case positioning
Targeted procedural direction
This measured approach allows you to evaluate your case, strengthen your posture, and make disciplined legal decisions before considering broader representation.
Full representation is reserved for a limited number of aligned matters and is typically offered after strategic evaluation. It is not automatic. It is intentional.
If you want clarity before committing…
If you expect filings executed correctly the first time…
If you prefer deliberate strategy over reactive litigation…

New Client Entry:
⭐15-Minute Introductory Screening
⭐30-Minute Strategy Session – $50 (First-time rate-Regulary $125)
⭐60-Minute Strategy Session – $100 (First-time rate- Regularly $250)
Serious legal matters require tailored strategy — not standardized solutions.
Chelsea Legal structures each engagement deliberately, offering tiered levels of service based on complexity, alignment, and strategic necessity. Representation is intentional, not automatic.
The firm is licensed exclusively in Arizona and accepts matters within the State of Arizona only.

The Legal Paraprofessional (LP) license is a newer credential established in Arizona in 2021 to expand access to licensed legal representation in specific practice areas.
Chelsea C.E. Woodworth was among the first individuals in the United States to obtain this license. She was also the first Arizona LP endorsed in Limited Jurisdiction Civil law and the first to earn dual endorsements in both Civil and Family Law — distinctions that remain rare.
An LP is a licensed legal professional authorized by the Arizona Supreme Court to provide legal advice, draft pleadings, negotiate, and represent clients in court within specific endorsed practice areas.
Attorneys are licensed to practice law broadly across all areas. LPs are licensed to practice within specific areas of law.
Chelsea is endorsed in Family Law and Limited Jurisdiction Civil law. Within those practice areas, she is authorized to represent clients directly — including appearing in court — without attorney supervision.
The difference is scope of licensure, not level of professionalism. Within her endorsements, Chelsea provides strategic legal guidance with full authority to act on your behalf.
The difference is authority.
Certified Legal Document Preparers (AZCLDP) and paralegals are prohibited from giving legal advice or independent strategic guidance. They cannot represent clients in court, and paralegals can only work under attorney supervision.
An LP, by contrast, may provide legal advice, strategic recommendations, and courtroom representation within the scope of licensure — independently.
Chelsea provides direct legal analysis and advocacy, not clerical document completion.
In Family Law, Chelsea handles the majority of matters filed in Arizona Family Court, with limited exceptions, including:
Appeals
Preparation of Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs)
Divorces where either spouse owns any portion of a business
In Civil law, cases must be limited to cases in Arizona Justice or Municipal Courts, which are for claims under $10,000.
If your matter falls outside these parameters, the firm will advise you accordingly.
Chelsea Legal operates with intention and selectivity.
As one of Arizona’s pioneering Legal Paraprofessionals — and the first dually endorsed in Civil and Family Law — Chelsea brings rare licensure distinctions combined with substantial education and experience beyond minimum requirements.
The firm maintains a deliberately limited caseload to preserve analytical depth, drafting precision, and direct communication. When you hire Chelsea Legal, you work directly with Chelsea — your matter is not delegated or diluted.
Family and civil disputes require composure, structured strategy, and disciplined execution. Our role is to provide clear legal direction during complex transitions — with discretion, focus, and professional rigor.
